The Process
From phone call to clean water
Four steps, no surprises. Here's exactly what to expect when you work with Torrey Water.
Phone consult
About 10 minutes
It starts with a conversation. Call us or request a callback, and we'll spend about 10 minutes learning about your home and your water concerns.
What we'll discuss
- What your household water usage looks like
- Any specific concerns — hard water spots, dry skin or hair, chlorine taste, scale on fixtures or appliances
- Your home's plumbing setup (age, pipe material, number of bathrooms)
- What you're hoping to improve
This call is no-obligation. If a system doesn't make sense for your situation, we'll tell you.
In-home assessment and quote
On-site, free of charge
We come to your home, assess your water conditions and plumbing, and walk you through what we find. Then we recommend the right system and give you a straightforward quote.
What's included
- Assessment of your home's water conditions
- Assessment of your main water line and installation location
- System recommendation based on your home's specific water conditions
- Straightforward pricing — the quote includes professional installation, system programming, and startup
- Financing available — we'll walk you through monthly options if you'd like them
No high-pressure sales tactics. The quote is the quote — no surprise fees at the door.
Install day
Typically 3–4 hours
A licensed, insured technician handles everything. You don't need to be a plumber or understand water chemistry — that's our job.
What to expect
- Technician needs access to your main water line and a nearby drain
- All plumbing connections are made with quality fittings — no shortcuts
- System is programmed and calibrated for your home's water conditions and usage
- We walk you through how the system works before we leave
We clean up after ourselves. Your garage or utility area will look the same as when we arrived — minus the hard water.
Ongoing care
For the life of your system
Your relationship with Torrey doesn't end at installation. We're your point of contact for maintenance, filter replacements, and any questions that come up.
Maintenance schedule
- Softening resin is self-regenerating and typically lasts 5+ years under normal conditions
- Carbon media replacement on a schedule based on your usage and water conditions
