Whole-Home System
Torrey Whole-Home Filtration & Softening System
Soft, clean water from every tap.
A complete whole-home system that softens and filters your water at the point of entry. Built for San Diego's hard municipal water.

Overview
A whole-home system installs at your point of entry — where water enters your house — so every gallon is treated before it reaches a single fixture. That means softened water in every shower, every faucet, the dishwasher, the washing machine, and the water heater.
Our system combines two stages in one tank. Ion-exchange softening resin removes the calcium and magnesium that cause hardness and scale. Granular activated carbon reduces chlorine and chloramine taste and odor, which matters in San Diego because our regional systems use chloramine — a disinfectant that standard pitcher filters do not effectively remove.
The system regenerates automatically based on your actual water usage rather than a fixed timer, which conserves both salt and water. We program it for your home's specific conditions during installation.
We offer this system in two configurations. A salt-based softener uses ion exchange to physically remove calcium and magnesium, so your water measures softer and you get the classic soft-water feel in the shower. A salt-free conditioner works differently: it does not remove hardness minerals — your hardness reading stays the same — but it changes how those minerals behave so they are far less likely to bond to pipes, fixtures, and heating elements as scale. Salt-free uses no salt, sends nothing to the drain, and needs no regeneration, which makes it the practical choice where a sewer agency restricts brine discharge. We will tell you which one fits your home and your local rules during the consultation.
Best for
Homeowners who want to protect plumbing and appliances from scale and cut chlorine taste throughout the house — salt-based where soft-water feel matters most, salt-free where brine discharge is restricted or salt-free is preferred.
